Little Miss Sunshine has "p" pairs of shoes in her shoe cabinet. When she went outside for a walk, she received a few pair of shoes from her fans. She received 3 times the original amount of shoes she had in her cabinet.(she took all her shoes on the trip) The next day, she went to France and , and she bought 10 more pairs from France. The next week, she went to China and bought a few pair of shoes. When she counted them, she had 4 times the amount of shoes she had before. As she was went through immigration to go back to California, someone stole 10 pairs of her shoes. So, she was left with only 42 pairs of shoes in total. How many pairs of shoes does she have now?
Great word problem! :D. The word problem makes sense, yet is creative and fun to read (for us anyways since it's about shoes xD) I don't really think there are any improvements to be made, it was really good! We did have to re-read it a couple times though, so try to clarify a tiny bit?
The story fit the equation very well because it included all the pairs she received and lost and what “p” represented. The story was very clear and if I had to write an equation from this I would probably write the same equation.
The story fits the question well and clear with all the things in the equation, and it also makes sense and clear on what the question is saying. I think this story is also very creative I think it is good and doesn’t need any more changes. I liked the way you showed the unit p as pairs of shoes. The unit also matched the question well in the story.
